The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has successfully eliminated the dangerous Bakaner Ghat, a notorious accident-prone zone on the Indore–Khalghat–Mumbai corridor along NH-52. The project, covering an 8.80 km stretch, was completed two months ahead of schedule, significantly improving road safety and ensuring smooth vehicular movement.

Since the completion of the project, there have been no reported accidents on this stretch, highlighting the effectiveness of the infrastructure upgrade. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, sharing the update, said, “This milestone reflects our firm commitment to strengthening highway infrastructure and ensuring safer, more efficient travel for citizens along this vital route.”
