Nepal: EAM Jaishankar meets Nepal PM Dahal in Kathmandu

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The external affairs minister visited Nepal’s PM Pushpa Kumar Dahal along with an Indian delegation on his two-day visit to Kathmandu, Nepal on 4th January, Thursday. 

Furthermore, Jaishankar also met the Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel at his office.

The EAM arrived in Nepal earlier today for his two-day visit. He was welcomed by Nepal’s Foreign secretary and other officials at Kathamandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport. Soon after his first visit to Nepal in 2024, Jaishankar met his Nepali counterpart, NP Saud.  

During his two-day visit, Jaishankar will co-head the India-Nepal Joint Commission’s 7th meeting along with Nepal’s Foreign minister, NP Saud. Established in 1987, the 7th meeting will analyze the overall general position of bilateral relations and more.
