Neeraj Chopra wins Diamond League title

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Neeraj Chopra won the Doha Diamond League title. He threw the javelin at a distance of 88.67 meters. This is the third time Neeraj has topped the Diamond League event. Neeraj's first throw this season was 88.67m. Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Jakub Valdech finished second. His best throw was 88.63m, 4 cm short of Chopra's. Anderson Peters finished third, with his best throw of 85.88m. Neeraj's aim is to cover a distance of 90 meters. This time, however, he couldn't meet that goal.  Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has congratulated Neeraj Chopra for winning the gold medal in the Diamond League 2023.
