On 20th May 2025, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, interacted with the all-women crew of INSV Tarini as they sailed into the Northern Hemisphere, signifying the commencement of the homeward journey and the final phase of Navika Sagar Parikrama II—India’s second women-led global circumnavigation expedition.

Speaking onboard INSV Tarini, Admiral Tripathi applauded the crew’s exceptional seamanship, resilience, and unwavering team spirit demonstrated throughout the voyage.
