MHA Set To Launch Toll-Free Helpline For CAA Assistance

In a significant move, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday announced that a toll-free helpline number will soon be launched to assist applicants regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019).

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday announced that a toll-free helpline number will soon be launched to assist applicants regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019). 

Furthermore, the applicants would be able to call the toll-free number from anywhere in the country and acquire information regarding the CAA (2019). Moreover, it will serve the applicants from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the rules of the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019) on Saturday. Furthermore, the newly implemented CAA will be called the 'Citizenship Amendment Act (Rules) 2024'. The Act aims to grant Indian Citizenship to the refugees and migrants belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain, and Christian communities who arrived in India before 31st December 2014 and faced persecution in their homelands.
