In a sharp rebuttal to Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar's recent interview to foreign media, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reaffirmed India's stance, stating that Pakistan’s position shifted dramatically after its airbases were rendered inoperable on May 10.

“India’s position remains unchanged,” Jaiswal said. “However, Pakistan’s position changed on the morning of May 10, after its airbases were effectively put out of action.” The MEA spokesperson pointed to the fact that Pakistan’s sudden call for negotiations following this shift revealed its vulnerability.

He also urged the media to closely examine satellite imagery, which is now commercially available, to scrutinize Pakistan’s claims. “Look at the sites that Pakistan claims to have attacked in India and contrast them with the sites that we successfully targeted and destroyed. That will give you a clear answer,” Jaiswal added.

The spokesperson’s remarks were aimed at debunking Pakistan’s narrative of victory in the face of clear evidence of India’s military superiority. “Claiming victory is an old habit,” he concluded, emphasizing India’s strategic dominance in the region during the recent military standoff.
