BJP minister seeks President’s rule in Manipur

The only way to stop violence in Manipur is to administer President’s rule, according to senior tribal leader and minister Letpao Haokip. Speaking to ANM News, Haokip mentioned that the government has collapsed and there are massive distrust among the Meities and tribals, the two warring faction.I

Houses continued to be burned down in Imphal valley, and rivals attacked each other even though there are massive presence of security forces and army in troubled areas.

Community leaders, BJP ministers and MP s alleged that massive rumour mongering is responsible for mob attacks as sense of anger and insecurity is inculcating in people. Local residents and senior leaders of the BJP have all petitioned the Centre asking for immediate intervention.
