Reacting to the recent verdict in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has alleged that a deliberate conspiracy was orchestrated to malign the Hindu community under what he described as a fabricated narrative of “saffron terrorism.” His comments come after a Special NIA Court in Mumbai acquitted all seven accused in the case, citing lack of evidence.
“A major conspiracy was carried out in this country against Hindus. Some people deliberately tried to create an image of ‘saffron terrorism’ and, under that narrative, several respected individuals from the Hindu community who were devoted to Sanatan Dharma were falsely implicated in the Malegaon blast case,” Tiwari said.
He added that the court’s decision to acquit the accused marked a day of vindication for those who, he said, were wrongly targeted. “Today is the day when all of them have been honourably acquitted by the court,” he stated.
