Maharashtra | On Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-day visit to the United States, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised the Prime Minister's stature as a "global statesman and trendsetter." Shinde emphasized that Modi's visit is crucial not just from an economic or political perspective, but also in showcasing India's cultural identity and its importance on the global platform.
"Prime Minister Modi's visit to the US has once again shown that he is a global statesman and trendsetter. This visit is vital as it reflects India's cultural identity and its importance at the global level," he stated.
During the visit, PM Modi held discussions with President Joe Biden focusing on technology investment and trade, along with meetings with several global companies. Shinde noted that various Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed on topics such as clean energy, promoting a cancer-free culture, drug control, prioritization of small and micro industries, and advancements in semiconductors.
He added that Maharashtra already has strong ties with many key companies in these sectors, and the recent developments will further enhance these relationships, contributing positively to the state's economic growth and technological advancement.
