By a Staff Reporter, New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle within the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), the Government of India has transferred Shri Madan Mohan Singh, a 1991 batch officer, from Customs Zone Kolkata to CGST & Central Excise Chennai Zone as Chief Commissioner. The reshuffle, involving a total of 15 senior officers, was approved by the Competent Authority and issued through Office Order No. 120/2025, dated 16th July 2025.
This administrative move covers officers in the grade of Principal Chief Commissioner (PCC) and Chief Commissioner (CC), spanning batches from 1991 to 1993. It is intended to strengthen leadership across key customs and GST jurisdictions and directorates nationwide.

2 Ms. Rimjhim Prasad posted to DGPM.
3 Shri Rajesh Jindal assigned to DG Systems & Data Management.
4 Shri Rajeev Gupta moved to CGST & CX Vadodara Zone.
5 Ms. Simmi Jain to head DG Audit.
6 Ms. Arti A Srinivas transferred to DGARM from DG Systems.
7 Shri Shubhagata Kumar posted to DGHRD (HRM).
8 Shri Manish Kumar appointed to Customs Zone Delhi.
9 Ms. V. Sangeeta posted to CGST & CX Hyderabad Zone.
Shri S. Thirunavukkarasu, Shri Paul Rajendra Lakra, Shri Ramavath Srinivasa Naik, Shri M.R.R. Reddy, and Shri Sandeep M.S. Puri have also been assigned to various zones and directorates including Bhubaneswar, Gurugram, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
All officers are directed to join their new postings by 28th July 2025, with compliance reports to be submitted by 1st August 2025. The order also states that no representations will be entertained prior to joining at the new location.
