New Delhi: On the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, senior political leaders and parliamentarians gathered at the Central Hall of Samvidhaan Sadan to pay floral tributes and reflect on his legacy.
Among those present were Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister and BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh, and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with other Members of Parliament and dignitaries. The event marked a solemn tribute to Mookerjee’s contributions to Indian politics and national integration.
Dr. Mookerjee, remembered for his role in establishing the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951, is regarded as a prominent advocate for national unity and federal strength. Leaders at the ceremony acknowledged his dedication to constitutional values and his lasting influence on the Indian political landscape.
