Kejriwal shared details of the five proposed measures:
1. Marriage Assistance: The Delhi government will provide ₹1 lakh for the marriage of each daughter of auto drivers.
2. Festival Allowance: A yearly amount of ₹2,500 will be given for uniforms on the occasions of Diwali and Holi.
3. Insurance Coverage: Auto drivers will be provided life insurance worth ₹10 lakh and accident insurance worth ₹5 lakh.
4. Additional Unannounced Benefits: Kejriwal hinted at two more announcements tailored to meet the specific needs of auto drivers, details of which will be revealed later.
“This is not just a promise but our commitment to uplift the lives of auto drivers. You’ve always supported us, and we’ll ensure your welfare remains a priority,” Kejriwal said.
He also highlighted AAP’s track record of implementing similar welfare schemes during its previous tenures, urging the community to support the party in the upcoming elections to ensure these promises come to fruition.
