Kaziranga Flood Update: 97 Rescued, 130 Animals Lost

Kaziranga Flood Update: 97 Rescued, 130 Animals Lost

Golaghat, Assam: Kaziranga National Park's Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Arun Vignesh, provided an update on the flood situation, noting significant improvements with stabilized water levels in most areas.

"At present, the situation in Kaziranga is improving. Water has now stabilized in most of the areas," stated Vignesh. He reported that 97 animals have been successfully rescued amidst the floods. However, he also acknowledged the loss of 130 animals due to the adverse conditions.

"We are closely monitoring the situation," assured Vignesh, emphasizing ongoing efforts to safeguard wildlife in the park amidst the challenging flood conditions.
