BJP faces criticism after release of list of candidates

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Less than a month after the polls, the BJP has announced its first-ever candidate for the first phase in the state, which is the only ruling party in south India. After the release of the list of candidates, the BJP has come under criticism. Supporters of BJP MLA Mahadevappa Yadwad staged a protest at Ramdurg constituency in Belagavi in Karnataka against the denial of ticket to him. Chikka Rewana, who recently joined the BJP, got a ticket from the seat.
