Srinagar: In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmir IGP V.K. Birdi has outlined the extensive security measures in place. Addressing concerns related to VVIP movements during elections, Birdi emphasized that the J&K police have implemented a multi-tier security setup in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
"We have made all necessary preparations for the multi-tier security as per the Standard Operating Procedure. Security and vigilance are in a high state of alertness," Birdi stated. The police are also issuing traffic-related advisories to manage any disruptions and ensure smooth travel during the visit.
Birdi reassured the public that the J&K police are fully equipped and prepared to handle any potential attempts to disrupt peace. "We have our strategies to foil any kind of attempts to disrupt peace," he added, highlighting the department's commitment to maintaining safety and order.
