Jammu & Kashmir: As of 7:30 PM, the Election Commission of India reported that the voter turnout for the Phase-I assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir stands at 58.85%. This marks a significant engagement from the electorate in the region.
Kishtwar emerged as the standout district, boasting the highest voter turnout at 77.23%. In contrast, Pulwama recorded the lowest participation, with approximately 46.03% of eligible voters casting their ballots.
The varying turnout figures reflect differing levels of voter engagement across the region, which could be influenced by a range of local factors, including political sentiments and security concerns.
