Shimla: Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jairam Thakur has voiced concerns over government pressure and alleged flouting of democratic norms during the by-elections for three Assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh.
"People are voting with great enthusiasm, with over 16% voter turnout so far. However, the government has exerted significant pressure in these areas, disregarding democratic processes," Thakur stated. He accused the government of unfairly targeting BJP workers, including their detainment at police stations throughout the day.
"Despite these challenges, the public will support the BJP and elect BJP MLAs," Thakur affirmed, expressing confidence in the party's appeal to voters despite adversities.
