MUMBAI: At the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, Gokul V Subramaniam, President of Intel India and Vice President of the Client Computing Group, underscored the pivotal role of AI and processing technology in the future of content creation and education. Addressing a diverse audience of technologists, content creators, and media leaders, Subramaniam emphasized that WAVES is a timely platform as the global focus sharpens on AI-powered audio-visual innovation.

“WAVES is an amazing opportunity because a lot of content creation today revolves around audio and video, which is the core of what we do,” he said. “Intel focuses on various aspects of processors, and WAVES brings in multiple ranges of data needed for that.”

Highlighting Intel’s ongoing advances, he pointed to the company’s integrated solutions—from data centre CPUs and AI accelerators to the rise of AIPCs (AI-powered personal computers)—as enablers of faster, more intuitive video search, editing, and delivery. He emphasized that Intel’s vision is to “bring AI everywhere”, offering tools that serve both high-end creators and grassroots users.

A key announcement was Intel’s collaboration with Tejas Networks to integrate TV tuners into laptops, allowing broadcast content to be accessed without internet connectivity. “This opens up access to educational content in remote areas. With AIPCs, we can translate and transcribe this content, helping take education to every corner of the country without barriers,” Subramaniam noted.
