Nagpur, June 17 — Panic gripped passengers aboard IndiGo flight 6E 2706 flying from Muscat to Delhi via Kochi early Monday morning, as the aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Nagpur airport following a bomb threat.

The threat was received while the flight was en route to Delhi, prompting swift coordination between the airline and airport authorities. The pilot diverted the aircraft to Nagpur as a precautionary measure. The flight landed safely, and all passengers were promptly deboarded without incident.

Lohit Matani, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Nagpur, confirmed the development, stating, “All passengers have been safely deboarded. A thorough investigation is underway, and so far, nothing suspicious has been found.” Security agencies, including the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), conducted a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft and luggage.
