New Delhi: Airline major IndiGo has strongly denied allegations of caste-based discrimination made by one of its pilots, calling the claims “baseless” and reiterating its commitment to a respectful and inclusive workplace.
In a statement issued by the airline on Sunday, an IndiGo spokesperson said, “IndiGo upholds a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of discrimination, harassment, or bias and remains firmly committed to being an inclusive and respectful workplace.”
The statement came in response to a pilot's reported allegations that he was subjected to casteist slurs and workplace discrimination during his tenure at the airline. The claims have sparked public outrage and drawn the attention of social justice advocates and officials.
“IndiGo strongly refutes these baseless claims and stands by its values of fairness, integrity, and accountability,” the spokesperson added, emphasizing that the airline would extend full support to law enforcement agencies if and when required.
