New Delhi | IndiGo flight 6E 2006, operating on the Delhi-Leh route, was forced to return to the national capital on Wednesday after a technical issue emerged mid-flight, making it operationally unfeasible to land in Leh. The airline confirmed that the pilot followed standard safety procedures and returned the aircraft to its origin, ensuring passenger safety.

“Flight 6E 2006 operating from Delhi to Leh today returned to origin due to a technical issue which caused operational restrictions to land in Leh. As per procedures, the pilot returned back to Delhi,” the airline said in an official statement.

The aircraft is currently undergoing necessary maintenance and inspection by engineering teams at Delhi airport to resolve the issue. IndiGo emphasized that passenger convenience remains a top priority and that an alternate aircraft has been arranged to transport customers to Leh with minimal delay.
