New Delhi: In a strong diplomatic statement, India’s ambassador to Israel, JP Singh, has demanded the extradition of top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists — including Hafiz Saeed, Sajid Mir, and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi — from Pakistan. Drawing a parallel with the recent U.S. extradition of 26/11 co-conspirator Tahawwur Rana, Singh questioned Pakistan’s reluctance to act. “The US did it, why can't Pakistan?” he asked.
Speaking on the status of Operation Sindoor, Singh made it clear that the Indian response to cross-border terrorism is far from over. “The ceasefire is still holding, but we have made it very clear that Operation Sindoor is paused, it's not yet over,” he stated. “Wherever terrorists are, we have to kill those terrorists and destroy their infrastructure.”

Singh detailed the circumstances that led to the military operation, citing the April 22 Pahalgam attack, in which 26 civilians were killed in a targeted act of terror based on religion. “The terrorists killed people based on their religion,” he said. “India’s operation was against terror groups and their infrastructure. Pakistan, in response, targeted Indian military installations.”
He further revealed that India’s airstrike on Pakistan’s Nur Khan airbase on May 10 was a turning point. According to Singh, the strike caused panic within Pakistan’s military establishment and led their Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) to initiate contact with India, seeking a ceasefire.
Calling for a global coalition against terrorism, Singh emphasized that international pressure must be applied to nations that shelter and support terrorist infrastructure. “This is not just India’s fight,” he said. “It’s time the world stands together.”
