Jammu & Kashmir: An Indian Army soldier has detailed a swift and decisive response to Pakistan’s unprovoked ceasefire violation on the intervening night of May 7–8, during which Indian forces destroyed enemy bunkers, launching pads, and drones, inflicting significant casualties on the other side.

“This episode took place on the intervening night of 7th and 8th May,” the soldier stated. “Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement, but we had already studied the pattern of their fire. Within seconds of the attack, we retaliated and destroyed their bunkers and launching pads. They suffered heavy losses.”

The soldier, equipped with a Medium Machine Gun (MMG), explained the tactical advantage and firepower used during the retaliation. “This MMG has heavy firepower and was instrumental in suppressing enemy fire. When they couldn’t respond to our direct fire on their posts, they began targeting our civilian areas instead.”

The situation escalated when Pakistan deployed drones across the border. However, the soldier said their attempt failed due to inadequate training. “The drones were foreign-made, and Pakistani troops weren’t well-trained to handle them. We successfully destroyed their drones too.”
