Sikkim – In the aftermath of the devastating landslides in Sikkim, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has launched intensive Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations to aid affected communities.
Utilizing Mi-17 helicopters, the IAF has been airlifting essential relief materials and deploying teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to reach remote and inaccessible areas severely impacted by the disaster.

Demonstrating remarkable courage and precision, the IAF successfully evacuated 33 stranded individuals, including two US nationals, from the hard-hit Chaten region. This operation underscores the IAF’s vital role in swiftly responding to national emergencies and saving lives during calamities.
