In a firm rebuttal to Pakistan’s recent disinformation campaign, India’s Ministry of External Affairs held a special press briefing on Saturday to address escalating misinformation surrounding the ongoing India-Pakistan military conflict. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, representing the MEA, categorically denied Pakistan’s claims that it had targeted strategic Indian defence installations.
“Pakistan spread misinformation on social media, falsely claiming it had targeted the S-400 air defence systems at Adampur, Suratgarh, and Sirsa Air Force Stations, BrahMos base and others,” said Col Qureshi. “India strongly denies these false narratives,” she added, calling the claims “fabricated attempts to bolster morale through fiction rather than fact.”
The MEA emphasized that no such Indian defence assets were compromised and that all critical installations remain fully operational and under high security. Officials also noted that Pakistan's social media campaign is part of a broader information warfare tactic intended to mislead both domestic and international audiences.
