New Delhi: Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal today demanded strong action against Masood Azhar, the UN-designated terrorist, who has been linked to several cross-border terror attacks in India. Addressing a press conference, Jaiswal emphasized that the terrorist, despite being involved in numerous attacks, has faced denials from Pakistan regarding his presence within its borders.

"Masood Azhar is a UN-designated terrorist. We demand that strong action be taken against him. That he be brought to justice. There has been denial that he is not there in Pakistan... Masood Azhar is involved in cross-border terror, attacks in India and we want that strong action should be taken against him," Jaiswal stated.

The call for action comes as tensions between India and Pakistan remain high, with Azhar’s continued activities drawing widespread condemnation. India has long accused Pakistan of harboring terrorists like Azhar, who is believed to be responsible for several high-profile terror attacks, including the 2001 Indian Parliament attack and the 2016 Uri attack. The Indian government continues to push for global pressure on Pakistan to take concrete steps in addressing the terror threat posed by Azhar and others.
