Cyclone in Making? IMD predicts heavy rains, depression over Arabian Sea

The low pressure area over southeast Arabian Sea is likely to move northwards in the next 12 hours and intensify into a cyclonic storm over east-central and adjoining Arabian Sea.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a cyclone warning. As per Met department, "The low pressure area over southeast Arabian Sea is likely to move northwards in the next 12 hours and intensify into a cyclonic storm over east-central and adjoining Arabian Sea." IMD also predicts heavy rainfall in many states specially Maharashtra. On the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there is still time for the arrival of monsoon in Kerala. The monsoon was supposed to arrive in Kerala on Sunday, June 4, but it did not start. The Meteorological Department has predicted a delay of two to three more days.
