The event underscores the growing emphasis on Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) in India's defence sector, with the indigenous LCA Tejas playing a crucial role in enhancing the country's air power. Designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the Tejas has become a symbol of India’s progress in advanced military aviation technology.
This joint sortie also reflects the strong camaraderie between the two service chiefs, who have been coursemates since their days at the National Defence Academy (NDA). Their participation in the flight highlights the increasing coordination between the Army and the Air Force, crucial for integrated warfare strategies.
