By A Staff Reporter: Did union minister Rajkumar Ranjan Singh refuse security cover for his house in Imphal? “No, not at all,” said Singh emphatically. “On my request they send 6 numbers of CRPF personnel after the first attempt to my house.

My son and daughter in law was called by me to be Delhi four days before the second incident happened to stay with his mother at Delhi as I planned to attend official function at Kolkata and Cochin.

When I was in Cochin I was informed from Imphal about the second attack on my house by about 10 pm. The very moment I called the Security Advisor for re enforcement . He replied SP might reach the spot.

But no SP and no fire brigade was there for about 2 hours as the road was blocked,” Singh said in a press statement. The union minister alleged that a section of politicians and people with vested interest is trying to tarnish his image and spreading rumours. He urged the administration to take stern action against those spreading fake information and hatred.
