Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh – Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu conducted an extensive review meeting with officials from Kangra district, emphasizing several critical public welfare initiatives aimed at fostering social and economic progress in the region. The discussions, held in Dharamshala, covered a range of topics, from educational support for children of widows to advancing agricultural aid and expanding airport infrastructure.
In his statement, CM Sukhu highlighted the government’s commitment to addressing issues pertinent to vulnerable groups, particularly in enhancing access to education for the children of widows. “The education of children from widowed families remains a priority, and we are looking into schemes that can provide them with better opportunities,” he stated.
The meeting also delved into the pressing needs of the agricultural sector. Recognizing the challenges faced by local farmers, CM Sukhu underscored the importance of policies that support sustainable agricultural practices and help farmers increase productivity and income. He conveyed the state’s intention to implement effective strategies to alleviate the burdens faced by the farming community.
Further, CM Sukhu discussed the need for expansion and modernization of Kangra’s airport facilities. This development aims to boost tourism and improve accessibility, which is expected to benefit the region economically.
