Gandhinagar, Gujarat | Gujarat continues to solidify its position as a key driver of India's economic growth, contributing 8.20% to the nation’s GDP during the financial year 2022-23. The state's pro-business policies and reforms have propelled it to the forefront of India’s economic landscape.

The introduction of the "Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP)" in 2015, aimed at enhancing the ease of doing business, marked a pivotal step in Gujarat’s journey toward becoming an economic powerhouse. The subsequent launch of the "Ease of Doing Business (EoDB)" framework, coupled with state and union territory rankings, further incentivized business operations in the state.

From 2015 to 2024, Gujarat attracted ₹3.96 lakh crore in foreign investment and ₹18.46 lakh crore in domestic investment, reflecting its business-friendly and citizen-centric approach. The state’s leadership, under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the guidance of Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput, Minister of State for Industries Harsh Sanghavi, and Minister of State for MSME Jagdish Vishwakarma, has been instrumental in fostering this growth.

Gujarat's consistent ranking as a top state in the EoDB assessments underscores its commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses. The state has implemented several initiatives to streamline procedures, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and facilitate seamless business operations.
