Gandhinagar | Gujarat has made history by becoming India’s first state to launch a dedicated SpaceTech Policy, marking a bold step toward transforming the state into a hub of space innovation, investment, and talent development.

The policy was launched in collaboration with IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center), ISRO, and the Department of Space, bringing together key players to drive the growth of the space ecosystem in the country. The initiative aims to create a robust framework for private sector participation, foster startups, promote R&D, and encourage skill development to meet the growing demands of the space sector.

Under this policy, Gujarat will facilitate access to infrastructure, funding support, and regulatory clearances, while nurturing a vibrant ecosystem of academia, industry, and government institutions. The policy also aligns with India's national ambition of increasing its global footprint in the commercial space economy.

“This is not just a policy, it’s a vision for the future,” said officials at the launch event. “From semiconductors to satellites, Gujarat is positioning itself as a leader in high-tech manufacturing and innovation.”
