Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Tuesday addressed students at the 75th foundation day of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, where he underscored the role of young Indians in shaping the country’s future trajectory.
In his address, Adani encouraged students to align their personal aspirations with India’s growth, saying that their career peaks would coincide with India’s emergence as a global power. He projected that by 2050, India would become a $25 trillion economy, offering its youth unparalleled opportunities to participate in global debates, influence policymaking, and set new standards in technology, business, and governance.
Adani further stressed that no other nation provided opportunities for its younger population at such a scale, describing the current period as the most promising time to be an Indian. He pointed to India’s demographic advantage, rapid economic expansion, and increasing global presence as factors that would open avenues for future leaders across disciplines.
