New Delhi – The streets of Kartavya Path were filled with grandeur on Thursday as the full dress rehearsal for India’s 76th Republic Day parade took place, signaling the countdown to the national celebration on January 26.

The rehearsal featured a spectacular display of military might, cultural pride, and national unity. The President's Bodyguards led the parade, followed by the Indian Navy’s marching band, which made history by including six women musicians. The Indian Army showcased its state-of-the-art weapons and surveillance systems, demonstrating the country's modern defense capabilities.

In addition to the Indian contingents, the parade also included a marching contingent and band from Indonesia, marking the strengthening of ties between the two nations. Their participation adds an international dimension to the Republic Day festivities, reinforcing India's growing global influence.

The parade also featured a variety of military equipment, ranging from armored vehicles to cutting-edge surveillance systems, underscoring India’s advancements in defense technology. As in previous years, the air show, led by the Indian Air Force, will be a highlight of the final Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
