Chhattisgarh, June 14 — In a significant breakthrough in anti-Naxal operations, four Naxalites, including three women, were neutralised during an intense encounter with security forces in the hilly terrain of Pachama Dadar, under Bithli police station limits, Special Director General (Naxal Operations) Pankaj Srivastava confirmed.
Speaking to the media, Srivastava said, “Four Naxalites, including three women, have been neutralised in an encounter which took place in the hilly area of Pachama Dadar of Bithli police station. A hand grenade, a rocket launcher, a .315 rifle, and several cartridges have been recovered from the site.”
The operation, launched based on intelligence inputs, led to a fierce exchange of fire between the Naxalites and the joint forces comprising local police and special units. While four insurgents were killed, several others are believed to have fled into the dense forest, prompting a continued search operation in the region.
“The search operation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to track down the remaining Naxal elements who fled the site,” Srivastava added.
This encounter marks another successful strike by security forces in their sustained efforts to combat Naxalite insurgency in the region.
