Amid continued tensions between India and Pakistan, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri delivered a strong rebuke to Pakistan’s recent military claims during a special press briefing organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday. His remarks came in response to Islamabad's allegations that it had successfully targeted and destroyed key Indian military installations during the current hostilities.
“As you are seeing, Pakistani claims about the activities that they have undertaken continue to be heavy on lies, misinformation, and propaganda,” said Misri, speaking directly to the media and international observers. He emphasized that these falsehoods are not merely stray narratives but are being actively pushed by Pakistani State Agencies.
Misri categorically denied the alleged destruction of Air Force stations in Sirsa and Suratgarh, as well as the reported damage to the S-400 air defence base in Adampur, calling each of these claims “completely false.”
“These are deliberate attempts to mislead their own population and the international community,” he added, highlighting what he described as a pattern of fabrications designed to shift focus from Pakistan’s internal challenges and justify its escalatory behavior.
