Delhi in the headlines! Shots fired in court premises

BY A STAFF REPORTER: On Wednesday, shots were fired at the Tis Hazari court premises in Delhi. According to reports, two different groups of lawyers, including officers and employees, opened fire. Delhi Police officials said the incident took place due to an argument between lawyers over an issue. Police have been deployed at the spot, officials said. However, no casualty was reported.

Bar Council of Delhi Chairman K K Manan Tis Hazari condemned the firing incident in the court premises. "A detailed inquiry will be conducted into the matter," he said. It will be investigated whether the weapons were licensed. No lawyer or anyone else in or around the courthouse can use such a weapon even if there is a license for the weapon. '
