Mumbai, June 8 — Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis extended his greetings on the occasion of Shiv Rajyabhishek Day, commemorating the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj 351 years ago. Speaking to the press, the CM highlighted the launch of the Bharat Gaurav Yatra Train, a special pilgrimage circuit train focused on sites connected to Shivaji Maharaj’s life and legacy.
“Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj established Hindavi Swaraj 351 years ago — a moment of great pride for every Indian,” Fadnavis said. “Today, the Bharat Gaurav Train started its first journey, and it’s completely booked. 710 passengers are travelling today, and notably, 80% of them are under 40, showing that our youth are keen to connect with our glorious history.”
The train will cover all prominent historical locations associated with Shivaji Maharaj over a five-day journey. Fadnavis thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their efforts in realizing the project.
"This is more than just a train journey — it is a step toward rekindling pride and awareness of our heritage among the younger generation," he added.
