New Delhi, June 13 — In the wake of the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, India’s External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has reached out to senior foreign counterparts to convey heartfelt condolences and offer full support. The crash, which reportedly involved foreign nationals, prompted immediate diplomatic communication from New Delhi.
Dr Jaishankar confirmed that he has spoken with David Lammy, the newly appointed UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs; Paulo Rangel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal; and Anita Anand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
“In touch with UK's Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affair, David Lammy, Foreign Minister of Portugal, Paulo Rangel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Anita Anand, regarding the Ahmedabad plane crash. Expressed our profound condolences and offered fullest support in this hour of grief,” Jaishankar said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
