New Delhi – The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Monday announced the successful completion of two consecutive flight trials of the ‘PRALAY’ missile on July 28 and 29, 2025. The tests were conducted as part of the User Evaluation Trials to validate both the maximum and minimum range capabilities of the short-range ballistic missile system.

According to an official statement from DRDO, the missiles “precisely followed the intended trajectory and reached the target point with pin-point accuracy,” fully meeting the test objectives.

These trials are significant in demonstrating the operational readiness of the PRALAY missile for induction into the armed forces. The tests were aimed at confirming the missile’s performance under various operational conditions, ensuring reliability and accuracy.

The PRALAY missile is a surface-to-surface, short-range ballistic missile developed by DRDO. It is designed for quick deployment and high precision, capable of carrying conventional warheads and intended to bolster India’s tactical strike capabilities.
