New Delhi – Member of Parliament Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh has made a strong pitch for a comprehensive national exercise to identify bonafide Indian citizens, deport undocumented immigrants, and engage in meaningful dialogue with insurgent groups in the Northeast region. In a statement issued from his official address in North Avenue, Dr. Singh emphasized the need for a stable and peaceful Northeast as a cornerstone in India’s journey toward becoming a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
Calling the presence of undocumented immigrants a serious concern, Dr. Singh said, “All bonafide citizens should be verified through valid identification documents such as AADHAAR or Passport, and undocumented immigrants must be deported.” He proposed that all law enforcement agencies be mobilized to carry out what he described as a "humongous exercise" aimed at establishing authentic demographic data in sensitive regions.

Dr. Singh stressed the need for an authentic database of rightful Indian citizens, suggesting that effective mechanisms be put in place to “churn out foreigners and illegal immigrants” from the region. According to him, the process should be thorough, technology-driven, and involve coordination among multiple government agencies.
In addition to the verification of citizenship, Dr. Singh also called for an all-out effort to bring insurgent outfits and militant groups to the negotiating table, noting that long-term peace and stability in the Northeast cannot be achieved without inclusive dialogue. “Only a stable and peaceful Northeast can contribute effectively in our journey towards Viksit Bharat,” he stated.
