80-year-old passenger dies due to Air India negligence

By A STAFF REPORTER: Air India has been fined by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). An 80-year-old passenger fell ill at Mumbai's airport terminal. No wheelchair is available to take him. An 80-year-old passenger died after falling while walking from the plane to the airport at Mumbai's airport terminal. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh on Air India. 

Directorate General of Civil Aviation has imposed a financial penalty of Rs 30 lakhs on Air India after an incident of non-availability of a wheelchair to an 80-year-old passenger who collapsed and died after walking from the aircraft to the airport terminal at Mumbai.
