New Delhi: Following the release of the 2024 World Air Quality Report, which ranked Delhi as the world's most polluted capital, Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa criticized the AAP-led Delhi government, holding it responsible for the city’s worsening air quality.

"The way the (AAP) government has worked for the last 10 years, it has given us all kinds of diseases, including pollution," Sirsa stated. He accused the AAP administration of failing to control air pollution despite repeated warnings and worsening environmental conditions.

Assuring corrective measures, Sirsa emphasized that his government is actively addressing pollution-related issues, particularly the removal of landfills and cleaning of the Yamuna River. "We promised the people of Delhi that we will remove landfills and clean the Yamuna. We have started working on these issues. The landfills are already being removed and won’t be visible by 2026," he claimed.
