Delhi Court Grants 15-Day Judicial Custody To CM Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal will likely be lodged in the Tihar Jail. Moreover, other accused in the case including Satyendra Jain, Manish Sisodia, K Kavitha, and Sanjay Singh are also lodged in the Tihar Jail.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's ED Custody ends today, Rouse Avenue Court granted judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate case on April 1, Monday. 

Furthermore, the order came after the Enforcement Directorate sought Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody of 15 days. As per ED, Arvind Kejriwal didn't cooperate with the investigation and refused to provide passwords for confiscated mobile phones. 

Arvind Kejriwal will likely be lodged in the Tihar Jail. Preparations for Arvind Kejriwal are underway in Tihar Jail. Moreover, other accused in the case including Satyendra Jain, Manish Sisodia, K Kavitha, and Sanjay Singh are also lodged in the Tihar Jail. 

Moreover, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Arvind Kejriwal's ED remand till April 1 in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. The ED demanded a seven-day extension of Kejriwal's custody due to his alleged evasive replies and non-cooperation in the investigation. However, the court extended the remand for four days.

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday. The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
