NEW DELHI – Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has alleged that BJP members were behind an attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s car in the New Delhi Vidhan Sabha area. Speaking at a press conference, Atishi claimed that a man named Rahul alias Sankey, allegedly associated with BJP MP Parvesh Verma, was involved in the incident.

“Yesterday, Arvind Kejriwal’s car was attacked by BJP goons in New Delhi Vidhan Sabha. If that stone had hit someone, it could have been fatal. Who was the one who attacked Arvind Kejriwal? There was a man, Rahul alias Sankey, who was seen in the attack,” Atishi said.

She further alleged that Sankey, who is reportedly a close associate of Parvesh Verma and often involved in his campaigns, has a criminal record. “This person has cases of an attempt to commit robbery, which can lead to a punishment of 7 years, cases under the Arms Act, which can lead to a punishment of 2 years. There is an FIR in Shakarpur police station, which has sections of robbery and attempt to murder, punishable by up to 10 years, and another case in Paharganj police station,” Atishi detailed.

Accusing the BJP of deploying criminals to target Kejriwal, Atishi demanded accountability and immediate action against those involved in the attack. The incident has further escalated political tensions between AAP and BJP as both parties prepare for the upcoming Delhi elections.
