Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday praised India’s indigenous missile technology, emphasizing the significant role played by the BrahMos missile and advanced air defence systems in strengthening the nation’s security.

“The strength of the BrahMos missile has been acknowledged by Pakistan itself,” Singh said, referring to the missile’s precision and power. He invoked a popular Indian saying, “showing stars in the daytime,” explaining how the BrahMos missile, crafted in India, has metaphorically “shown the light of day to the enemy Pakistan in the darkness of the night.”

Singh also highlighted India’s air defence capabilities, which have received widespread recognition. “The air defence system of India, which is being praised everywhere, has seen a tremendous role played by the Akash and other radar systems developed by DRDO,” he added, pointing to the indigenous technologies that enhance the country’s defensive readiness.
