Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday lauded the Indian Air Force (IAF) for its crucial and effective role in ‘Operation Sindoor,’ praising its valor, precision, and technological advancement. He highlighted that the operation not only dominated enemy targets but also decimated multiple terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Singh emphasized that the IAF has demonstrated a formidable reach, capable of striking any location within Pakistan without crossing the border. The world has witnessed the destruction of nine terror camps on Pakistani soil, along with the obliteration of several airbases, showcasing India’s evolved military strategy and indigenous defense technology.

“This message is that India is no longer solely dependent on imported weapons; ‘Made in India’ arms like the BrahMos missile and Akash radar systems have become key elements of our military strength,” the Minister said, noting Pakistan’s own acknowledgment of the BrahMos missile’s power.

He warned that despite these setbacks, Pakistan is attempting to rebuild terror infrastructure, allocating funds to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Singh expressed concern that a significant portion of the $1 billion aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Pakistan may indirectly finance terrorism.

“Any financial assistance to Pakistan today is tantamount to terror funding. We urge the IMF to reconsider its aid and ensure that funds we contribute are not used to support terror infrastructure,” he said.
