By A Staff Reporter — In a recent update on Cyclone 'Dana,' the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the weather system has weakened significantly. IMD Director Manorama Mohanty addressed the media in Bhubaneswar, stating that what was once a depression has now transformed into a low-pressure area over North Odisha.

According to Mohanty, the low-pressure area is expected to dissipate further and become insignificant within the next 12 hours. She assured the public that there would be no heavy rainfall, and there are no warnings in effect for ports or fishermen as the weather conditions improve.

The IMD has been closely monitoring the cyclone's path and impact, providing timely updates to ensure the safety of residents and maritime activities in the region. As of now, Odisha can expect a return to normal weather patterns, bringing relief to those who were concerned about the potential effects of the cyclone.
