Cyclone: 69 trains have been cancelled

As ‘Cyclone Biparjoy’ moves towards the coastal areas of Gujarat, its impact is becoming severe. The maximum impact is seen in Kutch and Dwarka regions of Gujarat. In the meantime, the railways have taken a big decision.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As ‘Cyclone Biparjoy’ moves towards the coastal areas of Gujarat, its impact is becoming severe. The maximum impact is seen in Kutch and Dwarka regions of Gujarat. In the meantime, the railways have taken a big decision. CPRO of Western Railway says, 69 trains have been cancelled, 33 trains have been short-terminated, while 27 trains short-originated as a precautionary measure, in view of safety of passengers in view of  Cyclone Biparjoy.’ Heavy winds and high waves were also observed in the sea in Mumbai. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the impact of the cyclone will be felt in nine states and union territories, including Gujarat. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy damage in seven districts of Gujarat.
