Party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former Karnataka Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah, party state president DK Shivakumar and other leaders were present at the manifesto launch event. The Congress has announced in its manifesto that it will provide 200 units of free electricity to the people of Karnataka if it forms the government. Congress also said that every female head of the family will be given Rs 2,000 per month. 3,000 per month for two years for unemployed graduates. Those who are unemployed with diploma will get Rs 1500 per month. Congress has also said that free travel will be provided for women in government buses. এThe Congress also said in the manifesto that it would consider extending OPS to pensionable government employees who joined the service since 2006. Congress has also promised to increase reservations. According to the manifesto, the Congress party will increase reservation for SCs from 15 per cent to 17 per cent, STs from 3 per cent to 7 per cent. Congress also said it will fill up unauthorized vacancies in all government offices within a year. After releasing the manifesto, the Congress said, "We believe that the law and the Constitution are sacred. Bajrang Dal, PFI or others are promoting enmity or hatred".
